The new book is food for the soul
On March 29, 2017 Anatoly Olovïncov has presented his book "Turks or Mongols. Pressure or tolerance?" in Gumilyov Eurasian National University's Scientific Library "Otyrar". The event was conducted by a scientist, Doctor of Historical Sciences Ziyabek Kabuldinov. Vice-rector for social and cultural development of ENU, Dykhan Kamzabekuly stressed that the author of the book is an expert in the technical field, noting that it is right and commendable to introduce representatives of other specialties to the native history. In addition, as Dihan Kamzabekuly noted, the book is truly scientific work, as it has an extensive scientific and research base. In turn, Anatoly Olovintzov thanked the university leadership for help and support in organizing the presentation, noting that the book was reprinted for the sixth time. The author also shared historical photographs, archival data contained in the research paper. The presentation of the book caused both great interest and certain questions, and, frankly speaking, nearly resulted into a discussion. The questions were asked by the University's scientists: the head of the department of history of Kazakhstan, the doctor of historical sciences Gulnara Musabalina, the director of the Institute of Contemporary Studies, PhD Mukhit Sydyknazarov. Sultan Khan Akkuly, director of the Scientific Research Institute "Alash" warmly thanked the author for the conducted research works, which are of great value for Kazakhstan in the first place. It should be noted that the academic community for the most part is somewhat skeptical about the scientific researches of Anatoly Grigorievich Olovintsov. But for several years, speaking and listening to one or another of the issues raised by the indefatigable researcher in his books, one is struck by the persistence of his views on Turkic history. And not just perseverance, but also the consistency with which, after the publication of books, he again tries to knock on doors, which, at times, open. Or maybe, in the fact that in the Russian history textbooks the term "Tatar-Mongolian igo" is abolished for "vassal dependence" - is the merit of the Kazakh author, Mr. Olivintsov Anatoly Grigorievich writes in the preface to his book: "How did the small people win the multi-million-strong China, the whole of Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Volga, the principalities of Russia and another half of Europe? Who are they Turks or Mongols? ... It's hard to believe, but the facts prove, the Turkic language was the state language in Mangi el (Great Mongolian Empire), created by Genghis Khan. " In his article "Mongolia in the XIV-XIX centuries, look for the Turks ... On the origin of the Khalkha-Mongols" we read: "The main thesis-formula of the national composition of the population of Mangi (Great Mongolian Empire) was formulated back in 1909 by Professor K.A (1871-1941) - Doctor of the history of the East: "Politically, they were Mongols, and ethnically - Turks." Supporters of this version are listed by the author in the book "Türks or Mongols?" published earlier, in 2014 " Undoubtedly, the book is subject to careful reading, study, representing interest primarily for academic historians. Someone, most likely, will try to refute some or other scientific researches of the Genghis scholar, who dedicated his life to the disclosure of "white spots" in this matter; someone will again react to the work as to eccentricity. By the way, it should be noted that Anatoly Grigorievich, a pensioner, resident of the capital of Kazakhstan, invests his own funds in publishing books. This book, as noted by him during backstage conversations, has become possible to publish by selling a collection of stamps. Unsurprising views, sincerity, complete absence of dilantantism, the desire to bring thought to everyone on the basis of many years of research - not just conquer, inspire. Scientist Sultan Khan Akkuly was presented with two volumes of his works "Alikhan Bokeikhan" dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding figure Alikhan Bokeikhan, the anniversary of which was held under the auspices of UNESCO in 2016, to Anatoly Grigorievich Olovintsov. But for the author of these lines, who visited the presentation, one thing is clear: patriotism, the ardent participation of such a citizen in the life of his country is an example for many of us.
